hi. I am in my 2nd year of college, I am having a tough time choosing if I should drop my calculus class, or just continue taking the class and just get a C on it. I only need it to get my associate in Chemistry, and then I’ll be switching back to get my bachelor in Biology, which was the major I started with. I already dropped the calculus class last semester, because it was getting too much since I was taking physics 1 and biology 1 at the same time. this semester, I went on to physics 2 and biology 2, so I added the calculus class again to it. My professor told me that if I continue with the class, I’ll either get a C or a D, and I don’t want to drop it again. This is the only and last math class that I need to get the degree. I want to transfer by fall next year, but if I drop calculus, I won’t be able to until spring, and I feel like it will set me back. I understand the concepts, but whenever it comes to tests, I just do really bad on them. I already have 3 C’s on my transcript. What should I do?
What do you want to major in?
Have you gotten extra help for Calculus? Have you done extra problems? Gotten a tutor? Gone to professor office hours?
