So today I took my AP Calculus BC final and for the 1st semester grade i received a D+. I am applying to UC's, UW, BC, BU, Case, GW, NYU, Northeastern, SCU, USF, Syracuse, Michigan State, Penn State, UTA, etc.
This is my first D+ in any class in high school. I have finished my A-G requirements and I have taken at least 6 years of math (since I took a high school math in 8th grade).
I was wondering if have to tell all the colleges I'm applying to, my score. Also, if I receive a better score overall for the 2nd semester grade, will that help?

Well, It certainly isn’t helpful, but you’re far from sunk. Schools like BC, GW and NYU will likely not favor that result, but they will undoubtedly consider it in light of the rest of your grades (so straight A’s and B’s will help draw attention away from it). One small mark can’t undo all the other factors present in your application (recs, sat/act, etc).

Also, second semester results probably won’t help. Consider including a letter explaining any mitigating circumstances.

will it also help that I do a lot of extracurriculars? my grades for other subjects are like a range of A’s, B’s, and 1 or 2 C’s. I want to major in Public Health (my main major) or Physical Therapy, or Early Childhood Education. If I choose these as my majors, will the grade affect me getting into that major?

It doesn’t make a whole lot of difference what you intend to major in coming in to college unless you are applying to a specific field of study (i.e. engineering school, art school etc). Like I said, the EC’s will play a role in the decision that could easily outweigh one bad grade.
