I’m currently on track to graduate 1 year early with a bachelor in finance if I take just 1 extra class over a break. If I decide to double major with the 2nd degree in economics I would have to take 9 extra credits which are 6 credits short of a full semester. By the way, I would like to work in politics. And I’m still debating whether or not I should go to graduate school before that.
Would it mean any more debt for you to have the second major?
What kind of job or grad school do you want and would having a double major help get you there? I’m guessing you’d be fine with just a finance major (maybe check to see if you have the coursework for a minor in econ. without the extra semester). Also agree that you should consider the financial aspect required for the extra undergrad work, especially if you are considering grad school.
