My high school sends the SAT averages of our class and previous graduating classes. If mine is over 100 points higher than the average, is this looked at by colleges at all?

What exactly is your question? You'll get into a college looking for your SAT and the guy with a 100 points less will go to a lesser college. The average at my school is almost 1400, yet those going to very top colleges usually had over 1500.

Colleges use it as an indicator of the competitiveness of your high school. If the average SAT at one school is 1400, and another is 1000, then being in the top 10% for gpa at the former is more impressive.
