Graduation speech ideas?

I have to give this speech in around two weeks and I've been putting off writing it because I'm having a lot of trouble coming up with a theme to base it off of. I have a time constraint of two to three minutes for the actual speech because we have a fairly large class (around 500 students) and four students are going to be giving speeches at the event.

The things which I am hoping to include in the speech:
-the future and the importance of the past four years
-something about how now is the time to make a difference/mistakes/find out who we really are/explore (which of those should I pick? Or would any of them be too pretentious and it would be best to just scrap the idea completely?) because all of us are capable
-being thankful

Because the speech has to be so short and three other people are going to be giving speeches too, I really want mine to stand out and I want to say something unique. Do you guys know anything I could do to make my speech a bit more memorable?

bump I really need some help please?

Speech ideas, huh? Maybe you can reminisce about the past four yeas but stress the importance of growing up but at the same time stress that life should be fun as well? I know my AP Psych teacher has a quote: “above all life must be fun”.

Do you think as two kind of big points to talk about it would be okay to use the importance of never forgetting (friends, family, teachers, experiences, lessons learned) and the importance of never being afraid (of beig yourself, of taking risks, of trying new things, of standing up for yourself, of going out into the world ad making an impact)? And then I figured I would start and end by tying it all together with a quote or an excerpt of a poem or something.

Personally I would keep it simple. Narrowing down the topic can hurt your speech overall. Make a general premise and expand on that thought in your speech. Whatever do you do, don’t say “we are all future leaders of tomorrow”

Or you can spoof it and use all the cliches in the book!

^ooh! i like that idea! do it!
