Great food at/around UC Berkeley

Angelina’s on Shattuck - comfort food. Lunch/Dinner

Everyone else has already said Cheeseboard Pizza, and I recommend it too. You should also check out their bakery and cheese counter.

Caffe Mattina - delicious and enormous salads, sandwiches and soups. Telegraph and…Haste?

Jayakarta - fairly authentic and affordable Indonesian food - University Avenue

La Fiesta - filling and good-tasting Mexican food. Corner of Telegraph and Haste

Sunrise Deli - Mediterranean food, and some of the best falafels I’ve ever had - Bancroft

Ciao Bella - fantastic selections of gelato and sorbettos - Shattuck (in a food court)

Norikonoko - home-style, authentic Japanese food. Warning: there is no sushi! - Telegraph

If you guys think there isn’t any good food around Cal, then you haven’t eaten at enough places.

On a side note, I actually don’t really like Thai Noodle 2 (the Thai place that Waiting4College was referring to). The pad see ew I had once was oily and bland, and the curry noodle soup was so thick that I’m sure the soup was pure coconut milk. The boat noodle was decent, though, if not a little meatier than I would normally want.

The Drunken Boat on telegraph next to Andronicos is decent

Fondue Hell yes.
