I was wondering if a current student would be able to describe the greek life at case. I would also like to know how a person becomes involved in it. Do the fraternities throw parties? Are the sororities extremely exclusive?
If I recall correctly from my tour last summer, the guide said that while there are several fraternities and sororities, most of those are centered around community service and volunteering. Case fraternities are known to be much more reserved than what you would find in your average state schools. All in all, I would not go to Case if Greek life is extremely important to you.
MasterThinker, since it sounds like you do not attend CASE, I am not sure why you are commenting on their Greek life?
OP, the Greek life at Case is very active. This weekend is the final weekend of recruitment for the sororities. My daughter is in one them and loves it. The campus is about 30% greek and Case is known for it’s strict no-hazing policy and great greek/non-greek relations.
I hope I can post this outside link because it has a lot of feedback from actual students at Case on the greek system. https://colleges.niche.com/case-western-reserve-university/greek-life/
