I got my assignment today, Gregory. I really like the room setup, in my opinion the best possible, but I have one worry. I keep hearing that Gregory is antisocial. Is this true? I plan on being a partygoer, and frankly I enjoy drinking on the weekends to let off some steam. Will this be hard to do? How inhibitive is being in an "antisocial" dorm?

There are plenty of social people in Gregory. There are also plenty of "weird" people.

it depends. most of ur friends may be in other dorms.

I'm in Gregory too. Join the Facebook group.
Could you describe what you mean by "weird" people?

Every house has their share of cool and weird people. But some houses has better locations than others depending on your class/work schedule, etc

So what kinds of kids will be in the weird people group and what kids in the cool people group?

Athletes, science, frats, Wharton, humanities, West Coast, East Coast - does it break out across any of the usual categories?

And would I agree with you on the definition of weird?;)

Bump.

Come on guys, study your U like anthropologists and let me know...

I didn't live in Gregory as a freshman (I lived in a high rise), but I knew plenty of people whi did, and they are cool fun people. You'll have a great time in Gregory.

I find it funny that almost everyone as an incoming freshman (myself included) tended to label any dorm except the quad and hill as "antisocial." It's not true at all.

Yeah, a lot of houses get a bad rep for no reason. You have your share of uber social types and quiet types everywhere. I will say, however, that some houses have way more drunk people than others :P
