Work: Worked with an Autistic boy and worked at parents business since I was young

Recs: really good, my teachers love me lots

Special issues: I moved around schools (3 moves) and thats affected my work. Also is how screwy my GPA is because of current school and weighted class. I also have a family situation to deal with. So alittle leniency would be great.

Willamette--in
Macalester--in/low match (b/c of ED)
Grinnell--match
Weslayan--high match/reach
Brown--reach (Brown has a very high # of applicants, though.)

Yes, I agree with blqgirl exactly. You are really close at Brown, but could use another one or two points on the ACT. Wesleyan is the most 50-50 of all the schools you applied to--and you should get in to all the rest. Macalester is going to be close because of how popular it has become lately. But applying ED and your great UW GPA should do the trick.

This entire post seems a bit ludicrous. You're probably in everywhere except for Brown, where you might get in, depending at how seriously they look at your ACTs. What were your composite. For example, I had a 33 on my first ACT, but my composites were 35,35,35, 27 in Math, Reading, Writing, Respectivaly. Macalester told me they would discount the science since my other three scores were so good.

My composites were all similar so its not going to help much. I'm going to take that as a complement, thanks. I'm not trying to fish for them as much as I'm an anxious teen who doesn't know if she can get in.

So bump. A few more responses would be nice.

I'd say that you're almost definitely in at Macalester and Grinnell, and you've already heard from Willamette.
You definitely have a good shot at Wesleyan - did you interview with them? Apparently, they actually factor in the interview in their decisions if they're on the fence.
It's hard to know about Brown...
