Groton School, MA.

Sorry 2010! :(. I wish I could help.

Not asking any specific question, just posting to tell BlueRaven1 that I like how she proudly puts “Groton '14” on her location :).

Thanks Assign! You applying next year?

And yes, I was thrilled to type that out!!!

Yes I’m definitely applying next year and I’ll be reapplying to several schools that rejected me this year. Maybe not Groton, sorry Blue :(.

Also, I notice that the schools to which you applied last year are small to mid-sized ones who have traditional, formal atmosphere. What is it about the spirits of these schools that interest you?

To international FA applicants:

From the Groton website:

Sad that I have to give Groton up :(.

:|. ^^ what a pity.
i wonder if canada’s considered international… time to go email the admissions office!

but if anyone knows (cough, this means you, blueraven / winterset), feel free to share  thanks!

Canadian are considered domestic by most schools.

I’m being included in the same sentence as Winterset info wise? I’m honoured but I think I have a loong to go before I’m any where near Winterset information wise. The int’l line was a little dodgy for me actually but they classified me as domestic because I currently live here. Yeah, you’re right assign, I did go for smaller schools. I’ve always attended, smaller (although they weren’t considered small) schools that are quite formal until recently and I guess I just went with what was fairly familiar. I don’t care if you don’t apply to Groton Assign (got to do whats right for you) but good luck with your apps!

But Blue do your parents pay tax returns in the U.S if you don’t mind answering ?

That’s the point. I asked several schools and they said filling out US taxes would put you in the domestic FA pool. So in terms of aid, it all depends on whether you earn $.

No they don’t.

Canadians ARE considered domestic by most schools when it comes to FA. Groton gives FA to Canadians.

That’s what I was saying, I’m pretty sure they don’t consider Canadians int’l when it comes to FA. :)

omg blue i’m going to groton next year too :)) see you! totally haha. umm i don’t think canadians are considered domestic. i mean, canada is america’s bff, but they’re still different countries.

Blue, are you on FA?

Ok I just feel like posting after a while of lurking lately so here comes the answer to Nerdgeekdork’s question: Blue is on FA. Groton gives her the most FA.

Quick question. My D accepted Groton a few weeks back but has not received any correspondence from them as yet. Has anyone received anything from Groton post sending in the acceptance forms and check? Thanks

I am so excited to see this thread. I am a parent interested in learning more about Groton. Blue Raven, why do you like Groton? And, what kind of boys do you think would do well there?

My son is applying to Groton. Would really appreciate continuing this thread. Why so there so little information on Groton on CC?

Ton of info on Groton. Just run a search.
