Grrr...

So, I took the SAT in march and score about 1700. I took the ACT in june and scored a 27 composite, and am expecting a 10-12 on the writing

ACT COMPOSITE: 27
English 30
Mathematics 26
Reading 28
Science 23 (yikes!!)

And none of it helps!! I was aiming for at least a 28, hopefully a 30. I have a 3.5 GPA, so a solid ACT score would help me greatly. My top choice school is Reed, and I doubt a 27 with a 3.5 gpa is going to help me...

How can I do better next time? I did multiple practice tests from the real act prep guide, and scored from 27-31. And I always did well on science! But i ran out of time on the exam, not to mention that my science test seemed overly difficult...Advice?

retake it? Also, when you study using practice tests, use a timer so you can record your progress having the same amount of time (per section) as on the actual ACT.

haha wow i just looked at how you said identical scores in my thread... and wow you meant COMPLETELY identical. good luck with raising it! :]
