GSAE vs. GSAE + SAT

Hi everyone :-)

So I took the GSAE a few days ago and feel that I did well, although my confidence diminishes by the hour now that there's nothing to do but wait. I am also scheduled to take the SAT this coming Saturday and I wonder if that's a bad idea. I am concerned that perhaps I do worse when the math portions of the test and 25 minute essay (vs. 60 mins for the GSAE) is included.

So ... If I do submit SAT scores to GS:

1) will this cause my decision to be delayed?
2) is it possible that it harms rather than helps my chances?

I realize this question is borne if my own neuroses, but any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I would imagine they’re evaluating your application with your GSAE scores which, unless you’re a beast at math, is probably to your advantage. Why roll the dice? If I had to guess I would say sending them scores this late would, at best, roll you to a regular decision pile if you wanted them to take the SAT scores into consideration. I can only speculate.

Thanks Motame … I actually concluded the same last night while talking it out with my wife. The best case scenario confers no advantage but worse case scenario inflicts harm upon my candidacy.

Exactly. Good luck though and hopefully I’ll see you in the fall.
