I am going to be a freshman @ NYU Gallatin next year, the program is a great match for me and I'm looking forward to it. But today my mom walked in with the mail and said that there could be a problem, I had a big envelope from cornell waiting...I opened it and it (thankfully) turned out to be a GT for fall 2007 into ILR!!!!

Cornell is asking for classes in the subject areas of Science and technology, cultural perspectives, wetstern intellectual tradition, etc. At gallatin I will be taking inderdisciplinary seminars, could they fufull the types of courses they want me to take? Thanks. I'll probably end up calling anyway..

read the whole package, all the info is in it. you have an advisor kinda that you should e-mail the courses you're taking at the other school along with descriptions. he/she will be able to tell you if the courses transfer and what requirements they take care of.

Ian is an AMAZING Cornell correspondent/advisor so it is really easy to confirm your courses with him (HIGHY RECOMMENDED!!!) to make sure that they meet the requirements. That's really great that you are now a fellow GT. You sound excited and I love remembering how excited I was. Best of luck next year and I'll hopefully see you Sophomore year!

Thanks everyone, im just in disbelief, I applied ED, was deferred, then waitlisted, and then after I havent heard from cornell after I accepted my spot on the waiting list for this long i thought all hope was lost. I just keep reading the letter over again its just crazy.

I was kind of looking forward to gallatin though...

Quick question: I need two courses of Introcutory economics (micro and macro) Does that mean i need an intro to Micro, and and an intro to micro? or just one full year of basic econ or what.

Jason, I'm in Gallatin, so I guess I will be taking econ I and II in CAS, unless I can take the General studies ones, which might work since i can take a class anywhere @ nyu... Thanks for you help. By the way, could you give me a list of classes you took during your time at NYU?

What's GT? I'm thinking about applying to ILR ED. What were your stats if you got in or didn't get in or got in GT? Did you get into Stern? Would you rather go to ILR than Stern? Thanks.
