So I got a letter saying that I was a GT (guaranteed transfer) for ILR. Do most people get this offer if they don't get in? And if I maintain a 3.3 and do everything they tell me in the letter, can I definitely go to Cornell? I hope so.

I got the same letter for ILR. I read that between 40 and 50 people get into ilr as guaranteed transfers. It's an acceptance letter contingent on mainting a 3.3 gpa at a different university for a year!!

It seems there are lots of us. I got one for Human Ec.

Welcome to the ILR GT club lol. Lots of people say it's even better than being waitlisted because you have a gauranteed spot unless you screw up freshman year, so be excited!!! heh

i got one for CALS... is that common or should i be proud lol?

yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaa boi, I got a gt too. it says 250/1400 get it in human ec. So I assume its even lower for the other colleges?

About 151 people are in the freshman class in ILR. 40 to 50 people get GT. So yaaaa it rocks lol. Out of everyone that applyed in the nation those are the numbers. And if you're a GT you are gonna end up at Cornell for the majority of your time (if you are transfering sophomore year) and you get the Cornell Education and Degree!

I'm an ILR GT, could i somehow change it to a CALS GT!?

CALS Guaranteed Transfer

comf...they are totally different colleges. You could probably apply for transfer to CALS at some point, but I'm sure that if one college gives u a GT u cant just say ur gonna use it with another. If you were able to get GT for ILR I'm sure if you worked at it you could end up at CALS.

when you get to Cornell (ILR), apply for an internal transfer...they're really easy...take courses in the college you are transfering to and maintain a certain GPA and you are golden...

cheers,
