<p>We'll get accepted even if it's not good, so what is really the significance of doing well on it?</p>

<p>Scholarship opportunities. Also, makes sure you are accepted into the program of your choice if you are going into one of the majors with competitive admission (i.e. business)</p>
<p>Will they really look at the essays closely? Can I just do a so-so job on them and then work really hard on my honors application essays?</p>
