****Guess Where I Got In! **** Test Your Chancing Skills on this Guessing Game! ****

Hey everyone, this is going to be a post-app chance. Basically, I want you all to guess where I was Accepted, Waitlisted, and/or Rejected at--the list of schools I applied to is at the bottom of the post. Test your chancing skills here! This should be quite fun and definitely interesting for you and me! In one hand, I'm curious as to what you would have said if I would have done this in a regular chance thread, also, I want to see how well you think I would have done in the app process. I included only the information that I submitted to the colleges in question at the time of the application, nothing more.

Good luck and have fun guessing!

Stats:
-White male
-Rural Iowan
-Parents income is <60k/year (Not poverty..remember that Iowa has lower living costs)
-Small public school (31 in my class)

Tests:
ACT: 34
--Essay: 9
SAT: 2030
--Critical Reading: 640
--Math: 750
--Writing: 640
--Essay: 9
SAT II:
--Eng Lit: 710
--Math I: 720
--US History: 760
PSAT: 202 (National Merit Commended Student)

School:
-3.92 unweighted GPA (We don't do weighted)
-Ranked 1/31 (Valedictorian)
Course Rigor: I have taken all high school classes a year or two earlier, then my senior year I took 4 APs, a PSEO (college class online), and a few independent classes. Please note that my school doesn't actually offer AP classes. I had to take them online. Essentially, I've taken harder classes than anyone in the history of my school.

ECs:
Activity / Years / Other
Soccer / 4 / JV captain (11), Varsity captain (12), Volunteer Referee, Recreational Team Captain (10, 11, 12)
Speech / 4 / State (3 times), All-State (1 time) [[Made it to All-State my senior year, but it was in spring..too late to put in apps]]
Student Council / 3 / President (12), Member of 3 committees
Youth Leadership Council / 2 / Traveled to DC twice and New Orleans once to work on leadership skills and help out the Rural Electric Coops.
Volunteer in Political Campaign / 2 / Organized and recruited volunteers, did tons of work
Republican Junior Delegate / 2 / Junior Chairman at District Convention, Junior Delegate at state, district, county conventions ***
Web Administrator / 1 / Redesigned and vastly improved my school's website

***Also, I included in extra info that a platform plank I wrote made it onto the Republican Party of Iowa's official platform (13.20)

AP:
Macroeconomics (4) (9th gr.)
US Gov't (3) (10th gr.)
US History (4) (11th gr.)
English Language (?) (took 12th)
Biology (?) (took 12th)
Statistics (?) (took 12th)
Microeconomics (?) (took 12th)
Environmental Science (?) (said I was self-studying, but ended up not taking the test for a few reasons, 12th)

Recommendations:
Teacher:
--One is literally amazing--very very specific and very very positive.
--One was at least positive, but I don't know how well written it was, it was likely hastily put together. Could have been very great though; I am not sure.
Guidance Counselor:
--Not too great. Marked that I have "below average" character and "average" extracurriculars (that's a joke in itself). Said a few things that could have been taken negatively.
Supplemental:
--One from the political candidate I volunteered for about my work ethic and character (great)
--One from principal about how I'm a good student and make good moral choices (good/great)

Essay:
About my childhood adventures, coming to terms with adulthood, and fighting conformity. Not sure how to rate it, but I am sure it was at least good :)

Possible Confounding Factor:
I was suspended from school at the beginning of my junior year. It was because I messed with the school's website. I made it clear that I just fiddled with the colors and some banners and that nothing inappropriate was added. I also made it very clear that I realize my mistake and that I have made up for it by regaining my school's trust. Now, I run the school's website single-handedly. I also redesigned the site completely. It went from having next to no information available to having almost everything on the site--from handbooks to field trip forms to calendars. It's also quite visually appealing! :) I am proud of what I've done with it and that was also made clear. Personally, I don't think this had a huge impact on my app, either way, as I think I made it clear that I made up for it.
