Guide to a 4.0 GPA, and a 2400 SAT Score

What are all of your tips to achieving this? How did you get a 4.0 GPA with 3 or 5 AP classes at a time? How did you get 5s on the exams? How did you get a 2400 on your SATs (or close)? How did you keep all that up and still have a social life? What did you read, or memorize, or learn during this whole process? How should I prepare for the coming school year?

Be efficient with your time. Prioritize your time. if you can master these skills, you will be fine.

Firstly, take a deep breath. You do no need a 2400 to get into a great school, although I’m sure it would help.

Keep up with all your schoolwork, and go to tutoring before tests, not after you’ve done poorly on one. Take the psats freshman, sophomore, and junior year, it really helps to prep you for the real thing.

I’m on a block schedule at school, so we only have 4 classes a day, then we switch at the semester. I take Half ap classes (2 a semester) then other honors requires courses. And I like to have at least 1 fun elective a year. Don’t procrastinate, this way you’ll still be able to spend time with friends rather than doing hw.

Most of all, have fun! You’ll only be in high school once. =)

I’m currently a rising senior. I have a 4.0 unweighted and 4.7 weighted gpa, all 5s on my aps (world, bio and calc ab/bc) and a 2270 sat.

4.0s can be rather easy if you take easy classes. If you actually take difficult ones, then it’s just a matter of actually studying, doing work, etc. If you have a problem with something, don’t be afraid to go to a teacher. Stuff like that. Work ethic is more important than intelligence, honestly… although the latter definitely helps.
As for a 2400, you don’t need a 2400. Anything 2250+ suffices, pretty much. At least, that’s what I’ve been told, which is good for me because I got a 2250! =P

4.0 and 2400 is what I’m aiming for, I’m sure I wont get there, but its what I am working at. (Kind of like homeostasis… its the perfect state are bodies are reaching for, but never actually reach)

Learn how function without sleep. Lol

only on CC…

You don’t have a social life, that’s why people achieve this

You’ve read my mind

If you aim for the best (4.0, 2400), then you will do your best and reach your full potential-that ultimate potential may not be a 2400 or a 4.0, but with the effort to pursue the best, you will obtain your best. That would not be so if you aimed for a 2300 or a 2200 or a 3.8 GPA.
