thank you Jamzmom you are a cool mom on here I think. I was lookin at some of the other threads and foud some of the undies ones...pretty funny huh!

JM really is an awsome person who helps so many people around here.

Sorry if my post came accross offensive, more spacifically the small flame it created. Cougars post more clarifies my reasonings.

That behind, congrads on your appointment in general. I am sure you are very well deserving of it!

Spot,

Congrats on your appointment. You'll find other female appointees to USNA as well as the other academies are regulars on here. And you'll find some threads that specifically discuss parents and what we're doing here. I hope you'll appreciate some of the cyber hugs we send to each and every one of you. Snipper is a regular here; don't be too hard on him as he is supportive of all the other candidates for each of the academies. He was really just asking a follow-up to your post.

And I don't think any of the parents wanted to even touch the "whip it out" SAT thread. :o That's not the place where we were bragging. ;)

hey Spot!

Im a 'gurl' heading to Annapolis in June as well!:) Congrats on your LOA- I saw your post on the other thread but Id figure id post here. Im in NH so i guess we are relatively close if youre in MA. Tell us a little more, youre planning on playing basketball?

-Apan

there's a 50% chance that i will be joining you too! i'll be doing track though, not coordinated enough for basketball, lol. i've only heard of like 5 of us in MA getting Appointments, so congrats spot! tell us more!

-shawna

Hey Shawna, hey apan! At last some nice people! I am at a small all-girls school in W. Mass. I live in Connecticut. I will be playing basketball for Navy next year. I went to a different school my first three years and switched over last year. Long, long story...but anyway I play a lot of AAU basketball where I was "discovered." My current school team is pretty bad(hope nobody is reading this, doubt it)...but the academics here are good. Hope to see eveybody in the summer. My dad is a grad too btw, class of 73...hi daddy if you're reading this!

there are cool plebe "chicas" (look what you all got me doing, i hate you all) i know on the team this year. geez these moms;) i had a pleasure of meeting two of them this year and last.
maturity? ha! thinks about they guys who pull down each other's sweats during formation and knock their friends' covers off of their head outside
feel free to message me if you want to talk

~em

su43,
The sorority at USNA is fantastic and it's a fabulous place to be (from). In fact, wheelah and my mid are sorority sisters! usna_reject (em, i told you to change your screen name!!!) is a delightful, hardworking, mature young lady ;). "Some of the guys are so immature..."

Thanx everyone for the kind words. I will be in touch with everybody soon by PM. I do have some questions and appreciate the support. I sometimes post some random things or get silly or careless with the typing but I know the kids understand. Nite everbody we have to get off line by 10:30! UGH

usna+ all-american rejects
im such an oddball

em,
tell us about 100th night!!!

what 100th night?!!!!
It was only allowed in King Hall and when we got there all the '08,'07, and '06 were sitting with their own classes like every Wednesday nights so most of us had to sit with the other plebes as usual. I thought if would be more fun if they made us sit by squads. Some did go to sit with the firsties and rated them but most of us just enjoyed our carry on.

Hey Spot,
My daughter was recruited for soccer but plays ball, too. As a matter of fact, high school game tonight went late so she's studying for bio test rather than writing this. I'm sure she'll catch up with you in the next day or two. Which AAU team do/did you play for? She plays Vogues. (You all probably crossed paths at Penn State or Jr. Nationals or another summer tourney.) Congrats on your appointment. Way to hang in there on this board--we can be stuffy but we tend to grow on you. :)

I'd rather not say the team online as some lurkers might figure out my real name but I do remember seeing the Vouges. That's Vriginia right?

I'll be joining you ladies come June 28th. Looking forward to it anyone? Senioritis is just horrible.

Spot, are you a guard? You must like to shoot the 3, yes? Women's bball is so exciting these days. Look forward to seeing you out on the court. Go Navy!

DbH-

I am PUMPED about going....slightly anxious/nervous as well, of course. Ill miss everyone, but Im ready to go. Are you excited?

And yes. Senioritis is def. setting in (but dont fear anyone, im still doing the work ;))

Welcome, Spot. I'm yet another "gurl" headed for Annapolis come June 28. I'm looking at either cheerleading, softball, or rugby. I'll probably be jv or club for at least my plebe year b/c i'm not terrific at any of them, but i would be honored to cheer you on during the school year (if i make cheerleading and we cheer for the girls basketball). Anyway, i look forward to meeting you in 4 months and 12 days (AAAGGGHHHH--i'm nervous already)

Lizgirl-

I played rugby last year- SO MUCH FUN. I think it was my favorite sport ever haha. Its really intense and not like any other sport (at least offered to girls). I recommend it.

They have rugby? Intramural or club?
