Guys: Shaving every morning

I prefer the clean shaven look. I can't stand the way I look with facial hair. Plus my father was in the Army and was always supposed to be shaven, so for me that's just ideal.

I shave every morning with Gillette Fusion razor and shaving cream... once w/the blade facing downwards then once w/the blade facing upwards for the closest shave.

Lol you whine so much about shaving. If you dont like shaving or hair, just burn it, will get your face burned a bit but no more hair.

Takes me 45 minutes if I wait a week...like I did until today ;/

Shaving in 3 minutes? That's crazy, unsafe, and sloppy.

Shaving is a ritual, it must be done carefully and properly.

do you guys just shave face? I just shave face, but im just wondering..

I'm 20 and only grow whiskers on my chin that look like crap. I hate my life.

well.. face and neck. I have hair that covers my entire front of my neck.

i shave only when i have to go out haha...m too lazy for a daily shave

To all the people who shave with the crappy aerosol goop and cheap crappy razors like the Fusion which shave like crap. I suggest you really learn how to shave with a Brush, Safety Razor and some Shave Soap. Its a different world of shaving. Its cheaper, irritates less, better for your skin, more enjoyable and feels great. You may not believe it, but the standard of shave quality has drastically dropped. Gillette and other brands have forced themselves into our lives, and the products suck. They suck, are much cheaper to manufacture, and due to that just make companies like Gillette and energizer richer.

People have different class schedules so you're most likely not going to be taking up the entire sink. So, you don't have to worry about that issue.

dr horse.

So what kind of razor you would suggest, where should buy it? Im interested

Only shave about once a week, I'm too busy.

blamu2 , you should check out this link Welcome to ShaveMyFace.com - The world's most comprehensive guide to the art of shaving and men's fine grooming products They have a great forum which is filled with shaving aficionados.

I buy my stuff from Lee's Safety Razors | Razors, Shaving Brushes, Shaving Creams, Shaving Soaps, Razor & Brush Stands, Colognes, and more! while a good safty razor may seem expensive about $35 for a Murker HD, you should know that the Double Edge blades are very cheap. So you spend the initial $35 and then you can buy the Double Edge blades for it for much less than the standard cartridge cost. You can buy Israeli blades very cheap on ebay and they are very good quality.

Lets say you buy the Murker HD and 10 derby blades from lees. You will pay 39.5
Now lets say you but a Gillette Fusion from amazon for $12 and now you want to get some cartridges, and 8 of them for the Fusion are $20 on Amazon. So now you are at $32 total. So the Safty Razor is still more expensive.

Now lets say a few month pass and its time to buy again. lets start in January and assume that every 3 months you need to your razors. At the end of a year, with 4 refill cycles the total prices will be as follows.

Murker HD + Razors Total = $57.5

Gillette Fusion + Cartridges = $112

Now if we go to 2 years

Murker HD + Razors Total = $75.5

Gillette Fusion + Cartridges = $192

Now after another 10 years, so 12 years of use total

Murker HD + Razors Total = $255.5

Gillette Fusion + Cartridges = $992

So as you can see, Gillette is getting paid, for a job which is my opinion gives a lack luster shave. id rather keep my money and go with a rout that has been tried and tested by men for alot longer than this cartridge crap. You also get to experience real natural shaving creme and lather. The natural part is big, because most people don't realize that all the chemicals we put on our bodies are usually the reason we have problems. Aerosol shaving cremes, even the best ones have been proven to dry skin, and make it more sensitive. Though the marketing would have you believe that their creme for sensitive and dry skin will solve the problem, well they don't. Millions of people have acne problems, they put tons of goop on their faces and in result still have acne. I wonder why? The reasl solution is to use natural products. Somebody with acne, is much better off going to a health food store, or even a pharmacy, and buying tea tree oil, it has natural antibacterial properties and has been shown to greatly clear up acne. I was lucky I had a good and honest dermatologist, who told me the truth about the big companies like Nutrogena and Clean and Clear.

Sure the initial cost may be high for these products, but do you expect to stop growing hair on your face. Most men will continue to grow full beards until they die. Its a tool that will last a lifetime and a worth while investment. Check out the forum I posted, and post a question explaining how and why you shave and then ask for a recommendation of equipment.

I'd cut myself if I didn't have a mirror.

It's definitely not unsafe to shave in three minutes.

Hop out of the shower, wet face, lather with shaving cream/gel/whatever, shave. Shouldn't take more than one stroke in any one space. If you're having to double up, you're using a crappy razor or doing it wrong.

U kids r effed up, shave twice during weekdays and rock out stubble

i shave like 3 times a week. it only gets stubbly. i hate neck and moustache hair-I shave that everyday though..cause if it starts to get long, my razor rips them out

Maybe you just have soft hair. You see, when I shave I don't use a razor, I have to use a chainsaw. I use a mixture of 100% isopropyl alcohol + salt as aftershave.

I shave basically when I'm trying to impress a lady/ladies, or it just itches too much, so it's not every morning but rather two or three times a week. When I do, I just use the sink and a manual razor. Electric razors leave too much facial hair. Also, foam soap they have in dorms works as shaving cream.
