I only shave when I need to. I like to go like two weeks in between shaves. Get a little bit of a lumberjack look goin' on. Haha.

I enjoy having a full beard so I dont have to worry about shaving. I am half Arab and all of my family has tremondous amounts of facial hair and after about 6 months of shaving close to everyday (in HS mind you) I couldnt take it and just decided to grow a full beard.

My boyfriend shaves once every two weeks. Or once a week if I'm lucky. And when he does it he's done really fast, like 30 seconds o.O

I rock the stubble, but the longer I let it grow, the longer it will take me to shave it off. I also have a very big mustache that I don't shave.

I've had to shave at least every morning religiously for the last four years and change (they say it's so we can get a good seal on a gas mask, which I think is BS).

I have found the best method that saves me razor burn and discomfort is to take a hot shower first, then splash hot water on my face and use a shaving gel (I use Nivea, the kind in the white can) along with my trusty Mach 3.

Just take your time if you need to and try to work with the grain of your stubble as best you can. I have had people (drill instructors) make me shave three times at once. First with the grain, second against the grain, and third with grain again. What did that get me? A terrible case of razor burn.

Just take your time and figure out what is best for you, whether that is electric or bladed shaving.

I just use a regular razor and of course, shaving cream. Then again, I only shave about once a month. The cyclical beard look is in (for hippie college anyway).

It takes me two hours every morning to get ready. Will I survive in college or will the time constraints be a problem?

Some people look good with a beard, while others, not so much.

Two hours? What the hell do you? Yes it will be a huge problem, how is it not a problem now? (I'm assuming you're a guy, based on your username)

^ also, your bathroom will likely be shared with a whole bunch of other people,

If I don't want to look dirty, I have to shave everyday... it blows. I can't believe that when I was younger I thought it would be "so cool" to be able to shave. Now it's just a chore.

i shave twice a week in the shower. takes 10 minutes

Let me you tell you the thing that girls hate the most (this goes for me and ALL my friends).

There is this guy at school who shaves regularly, but always seems to miss about three or four hairs. It is STRANGE. If you don't shave, great. If you do shave, great. But if you shave, do it all the way, lol.

Btw, I'm glad I'm female ;-) shaving must be reeaaallly annoying ;-)

Not really its pretty fun.

I don't really mind as long as the guy is pretty much completely clean-shaven. As for the shaving situation being better for females: is it really better to be expected to shave almost all of your body hair as opposed to just your facial hair?

true, mcb52 ;-) I had momentarily forgotten about that ;-)

" It takes me two hours every morning to get ready. Will I survive in college or will the time constraints be a problem? "

Unless you're counting your last hour or so of sleep as "getting ready" I'd say you're going to have a bit of an issue there.

Wow sev1991, are you really from Switzerland? i've never ever met anyone from Switzerland before! I wonder what they look like and what clothes they wear. We never see you guys on TV or in movies. Your president changes every year so we can't keep track of him/her. I have no clue what their accent is like either...I guess it varies depending on whether they're italian/german/french/romanian speakers. all I know about them is that they're supposed to be very clean, organized and punctual.

do women in switzerland not shave at all? is that why you said you're glad you're a girl and don't have to shave? do people in switzerland wear baseball caps?

I've always thought how is one suppose to shave if the college hall has community bathroom? I mean, there is no room to shave... or say now over cleaning a public bathroom?

Of course there's room to shave in such a bathroom, why wouldn't there be? There are usually several sinks along a countertop.
