Guys: Shaving every morning

it's so gross when i go to guys' dorms and there's hair ALL over the bathroom sink because some guy forgot to rinse it off after shaving..sooooo gross.

Everyone, please, when you shave over a sink be sure to wash all of your remnants down the drain. There are few things more disgusting than going in to brush your teeth in the morning than to see all of the sinks covered in facial hair.

yeah... Really nasty.

I am 18 and only have to shave once or twice a week.

Blond facial hair + slow hair growth = rare shaving.

It's nice not to have to shave every day, but I'd kinda like to get a goatee or something after HS.

haha this is the most brilliant thread on CC
I shave every alternate day and that's what I'm going to continue to do in college
what can I say....I'm a hairy guy......I could easily turn that into an advantage: I'm manly.

Does anyone know the best way to get/maintain a 5 O’clock shadow? Same with maintaining some stubble…I’m not sure what the best way/how to do it is…

i heavily dislike facial hair

JC-- get a set of electric clippers like you’d use for a buzz cut. Apply to face. Instant, constant shadow.

I connect. I still shave every two days to keep the face clean because I don’t like the shape of a no-shave beard, but I’m rocking a nice face framed with hair.

5 o’clock shadow makes you look lazy not manly IMO

modest whats a good brand of electric clippers? I haven’t been able to find one…

Conair has worked great for me.

I’ve been looking at these one http://trimmers.wahl.com/</a>

I’m not sure what specific one I should get though, they all seem the same haha. Do you have a link to the clippers you use? Can’t find anything…

I think this is it:
[Conair.com - Personal Grooming > Haircutting Kits > Ultra Cut™ Haircutting Kits > Model Hct495gb](http://www.conair.com/ultra-piece-premium-chrome-clipper-with-detachable-blade-p-637-54_17_114.html)

I personally am forced to shave every morning; it’s so bad that by several hours after shaving, I already have a 5 o’clock shadow again. I hate it. I usually use a Gilette Fusion razor in the sink before I shower, but recently since the blades are so expensive I’ve switched to generic disposable ones.

Does anyone have advice on how to get rid of facial hair more efficiently? Are there creams or something that works? Electric razors don’t work well on me; they don’t get a close enough shave.

I still prefer the clean shaven look. Now I shave every morning with a Schick Quattro Titanium razor, which I love because it’s nice and light compared to the bulky Gillete Fusion.

@modest- What settings would you use? I’m not sure because of it being a hair clipper lol. Sorry, I’m a pain in the rear =]

Meh, I like the 5 o’clock shadow look, or a stubble look, other than that clean shaven for me!

You should shave with the grain and then against the grain for the closest shave you’re gonna get with a razor. That should suffice. Besides that, waxing and laser hair removal are your other options, but I don’t think you have to go there.

Hopefully you are using shaving cream. You should be putting warm water on your face then letting the cream sit there for 45-60 seconds before shaving.

And personally, I buy a whole new razor with 2 cartridges for $10 rather than spending over $15 for 4 cartridges because it’s easier to pay for and I find it more appealing to buy a new razor than a pack of cartridges.

That’s what I’m doing, and it still grows a shadow within a few hours. I’ll try letting the cream sit a while first, though; thanks for that tip.

this thread makes me kind of glad all i have to do is trim and it stays sort of rugged for a few days and then trim again. its not as thick as i’d like it, but its low maintenance.

I enjoy shaving my facial hair other than it is time consuming. I like the look and how it feels afterwards.

rockin 5 o clock shadow, a polo shirt, some designer jeans

maybe a beret

so rugged
