GW Business or NYU CAS Econ?

Out of sheer curiosity, which school fares better regarding education, preparation, and job prospects? I am thinking of pursuing a career in the business world, but not totally sure of what specific field exactly.

I’m not familiar with GWU for business however, I do know that NYU’s econ program is widely regarded as one of the best in the country. Obviously NYU has connections in NYC for internships and job placement. And from my experience with employers, the NYU name is very recognized and respected.

Thank you NYU2013, my only fear with NYU CAS Econ is that I feel like I will be ousted out of top NY job opportunities by Stern kids and Columbia students. Should this be something to heavily consider?

New York has a very diverse business environment where graduates from worldwide compete for work opportunities. If you are good, you will find a seat in New York, no matter which school you are graduated from.

NYU CAS Econ is a very good program. I’d say on par with Stern and Columbia for Economics. I wouldn’t worry about being ousted by Stern or Columbia grads. At that point it comes down to your resum

you may not be able to apply to some on campus recruiting jobs at stern coming out of cas - i’d check with stern on their policies. one of the best parts of stern is access to the bulge bracket bank recruiting pipeline.
