I don't get how you could "screw up" from following the site. Basically what I'm doing is picking classes that fit both Breadth and IGETC (all of which are UC transferable).

okay well there are classes that are in two areas, like history or econ

like Anthropology is in two areas, science and i think social science, so if i took it would i count for two, and if it did wouldnt that be a bad thing making them think your looking for a short way out?

i dont think i wouldnt be worried but everyone made haas the only places thats tricky

BASICALLY what i am doing is over thinking, i do know what im doing its just that i feel that something has to be wrong

This is straight from the Haas reqs at assist.org:

[quote]
While some courses may fit into more than one breadth category, no single course
may be used by the student to fulfill multiple breadth requirements, nor may a
course be used to satisfy both a breadth and a prerequisite requirement.

So you could take Anthro to fulfill the Social Science but you would need a separate Anthro class to fulfill the Bio Sciences req.

No problem, I know trying to pick out what classes to take can be hectic at first but a little research can go a long way. Should be an eventful 2 years before we transfer :S

lol i just read the page and fully understand everything except the 60 UC-transferable semester units, does that include all the pre req, breadth, and foreign languages...do they go into that 60 units? also, dont you have 3 years i thought you were going to take calc next year in high school, unless you mean once you get into college lol

The 60 UC-transferable units qualifies you to transfer so that includes everything (IGETC, Breadth, pre-reqs). And yeah, I meant after I graduate from high school first but I'm gonna be taking classes during my senior year in CC. Are you currently a senior?

hmm laguna is a super haas expert, hes as expert as probably any adviser out there MUAHAHAHA
for whether it transfers or not as long as it says it is UC transferable
iono about ur catalog but my UC catalog every course is stated whether it is CSU or UC transferable.
haas breadth reqs are really loose u can take any sociology to fulfill the requirement, or any psychology or any philosophy so u don't really have to focus on a specific class if u know what i m talking about

okay i just found out how the requirements work, its so easy the reason why i had trouble is because people intimidated me on how complicated it was so i didnt try hard enough, but its too easy, every thing makes sense now (expect for the international studies, i dont see that anywhere in my school)

and i knew i made a mistake i was about to take history 102 and philosophy but i can only use one
