Haas transfer in one year?

i'm currently in high school and am considering trying to transfer to haas in one year. at what time would i have to send in my application?

i figure if i transfer out in two years as most normally do then it would breakdown to something like this:

first fall
first spring
first summer
second fall (send in apps in november)
second spring
second summer
first fall at transferred school

but at what time would i need to send in my app if i wanted to transfer out within one year? seeing as how i'll finish 21 units by the time i graduate high school, i think i have a pretty legit shot at finishing up all 9 breadth courses, igetc, and the prereqs for haas and my backup schools (assuming the courses count up until the end of the first summer). and if i were to get rejected the first time around and reapply the next year, would the haas admissions people look down on this at all?

any help would be greatly appreciated

If you want to transfer in one year, you have to apply during your first fall at community college.

So let's say you're a HS senior and graduating this June?

You will have to apply the COMING Fall (2008).

would reapplying the next year if i don't get in the first time affect my chance of admission at all for haas?

and since i turn in the app the first semester (november), i'm assuming they'll also count the winter and spring classes i take? and do they count the gpa for that first semester since technically i will be sending in my app before the fall semester has even ended?

I honestly don't know. When you apply to UC's, on the app they ask you whether you have previously applied. I suggest you never lie on your application. As far as the general application goes, I can't say whether or not this helps you.

You should ask Hongda or any of the other Haas applicants (accepted applicants) and see how they did it. Maybe they know someone that didn't get in on the first try.

Rational thinking dictates that in no way can your previous application effect your second attempt. But as we've learned, rational thinking doesn't really apply here. =P

i actually do recollect someone stating that they knew someone who got rejected the first time and reapplied the next year and got in so i guess it is feasible haha...

is how it works that i send in my app in november (before the fall semester has ended) and later when the fall semester has ended i update them and they use that as the gpa for my app?

yeah. also your application will most likely have your previous units. You stated that you'll have 21 units by the time CC starts. If that's the case, those 21 units will make up your preliminary GPA.

the only thing that worries me a bit is that i will not have established my ECs fully by the time i send in my app...i'll have the business related internship and a few middle of the road high school ECs but i was looking to do more in my time at CC. using the units i completed in high school, would i be eligible to join an honors club like phi theta kappa right when i go to CC full-time? i was also looking to form a business club if there isn't one already.
