Haircuts? Seriously, I swear there's a point here

So…

I’m a guy about to embark on a college tour through the south and mid-west, culminating in a month-long stay at a summer program at a mid-western university.

Why then, might you ask, is this topic under “High School Life”?

Because I need help picking a haircut.

I know, it sounds dumb. It probably is. But I’m going to be meeting a bunch of college officials during the tours and at the summer program (not to mention like 60 or so girls). Therefore, I’d rather have a haircut that looks presentable (and, preferably, present me in the best possible light).

Without attaching a picture of myself, here’s the basics of, well, me:
Age: 16
Sex: M
Ethnicity: Asian
Notes: Roundish face, possibly just a tad bit overweight. Cruddy smile and facial features. Current hair is about mid-legnth and unstyled. High hairline (I’m talking like some Peyton Manning level stuff here).

Appreciate it,

When has CC become appearance tips page lolll

There are plenty of shopping, style advice, and other non-college-related things in the Parent Café; it’s time high schoolers contributed their share. :stuck_out_tongue:

Have you tried Googling hairstyles that look good on your face shape, OP?

@bodangles actually yeah I have but they’re all modeled on people like Ryan Gosling and Matt Damon so it’s tough to imagine how it’ll look. I’m sorta hoping that someone on the forum knows someone who sorta fits the description with a killer cut.

Just my opinion, but I think with a high hairline, a very short cut looks best -like Peyton’s.

A Taper. Fade the sides, not bald, longer in the top so that some strands can casually fall forward.

Thinking about this again, I think you might want to go to a stylist who can help you and give you a nice youthful cut. It is worth it to spend a little extra for good advice when you are changing styles.

I would have it neat…would some bangs help with the high hairline? There are sites online where you can upload your picture and virtually try on different haircuts.

Undercuts are becoming pretty popular, more of a new-wave type of thing, it would make you look professional I suppose.

This is actually kinda funny. I see your point, appearance is a major factor when it comes to first impressions.

There’s that basic haircut that works for everybody. It’s kinda like a crew cut, but the 2017 version. Short on the sides, but long on the top. It’s either styled straight back, styled up but towards the side, or styled down but towards the side.

Look at your friends-pick the one who has a haircut you like, and ask them where they get it done. Take a picture of your friend, bring it in, and say “do this”.
