Hello everyone,
I’ve had a 4.0 unweighted GPA for the past three years of high school, but this year, I’ve realized that I’m going to have 2 A-'s and my half-year transcript will show them. All my courses are AP or AP-weighted.
I know that no particular part of my application will be the reason for my rejection, but is this going to look bad? I’m actually genuinely concerned; this is not a joke post.
As I posted in another thread, many schools systems don’t even use a +/- system for gpa so it will depend on what grade you need to get for an A- in your school if it will even change your gpa in the eyes of colleges. With that said, I doubt 2 A-s for your hs career will be the deciding factor in your admissions.
Two fractional grades out of, what, 50 on your transcript, one part of your application?
I won’t say it means nothing, because every piece of your record is looked at. But it’s sure approaching zero…
