Handwritten letter. What does it mean?

So in the mail today I received a handwritten letter from Eden Garosi of the College of Chemical and Life Sciences Admissions Office. The letter said I had a "very impressive" application and mentioned some of the things that were in my application. Then she invited me to visit and talk to a professor. I was pretty surprised because UMCP is a big school with thousands of applications to go through.

What exactly does this mean? Does this mean I have a good shot at a merit scholarship? Does this just mean I had a SAT score above some cutoff, or did they look at my entire application and put thought into who got a letter? Did any one else get a letter like this?

This has already been discussed: <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-maryland-college-park/437623-personal-note.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-maryland-college-park/437623-personal-note.html</a></p>

Oh ok sorry I didn't see that. Thanks!
