Early admit here, and I just received a letter from my regional admission counselor with a handwritten paragraph at the bottom, which made me unreasonably happy. She basically talked about what she liked about my application and how she saw me fitting in to the campus life. Did everyone else get this too? What type of thing did yours say?

Yup! I got one, it talked about my common app and my interests, really made my day. Hey are you a part of the facebook group for REA admits? If not, you should join!

wait… do you guys mind sharing specifically what they said?

@redsnow I’ve been trying for days! They haven’t let me in yet.

@promotional I’d rather not, to be honest. It was as personal a note as an admission officer could write to an applicant. Sorry bro

@killbeefgoham
that’s odd, I’m sure you’ll be let in soon.

@promotional
I’d rather not quote it directly, but basically it was just a nicely written note like you’d read in a card or informal letter. That’s really it, really nice gesture.

Classy move and good to hear. I do not envy the task of these admissions officers choosing amongst a surplus of quality applicants. Nice to hear them getting back to the ED kids with a personal touch. Believe me, these small things make a difference to the college consumer.
