I want to hang some posters and frames on the walls of my room in International Village, is this allowed?

ya it’s allowed. you should use command strips and make sure that none of the paint comes of the walls when you take them down at the end of the year. the only place you can’t hang posters is on the ceiling.

The walls in IV are legit walls (not like the cinder block or whatever walls in dorms like the Stetsons). In my personal experience last year, the command strips took the paint right off the walls (but were good to use on the wooden doors). I just used tacks that left tiny holes in the wall. I had my dad spackle on move-out day to cover them up, and then during check-out, the person barely even looked at my walls anyways (they said nothing about the tacks during room checks during the year). Of course, your experience could be entirely different. I also know people who used something like silly putty, but I’m pretty sure their stuff fell down.

Ok thank you both for the replies! I’ll try out both and see what happens

Yeah I’m in WVF (same walls as IV) and the command strips either take off the crappy paint or leave like this tiny layer of sticky stuff on top that is impossible to remove.

hmmm what about fun tac, that blue stuff that my teachers always used to use, how would that hold up

^ I tried that but it comes off eventually, idk why. Especially when both my roommate and i came back after winter break, all posters that were stuck on with blu-tack came right off

I’ve gotten away throughout college on campus with just stapling the walls. I used a stapler and just attached posters that way. As long as you remove the staples the holes are too small for an RA to see and the holes are just painted over anyways.

I have fabric stapled to my walls. I even passed room inspection… I have no idea how.
