I'm moving into the dorms soon and I'm bringing a couple of framed paintings. I know you aren't allowed to drill holes in the walls or put in nails, so is there an alternative way I can hang my paintings??

Thank you so much!

Not allowed to drill holes?? You can, all you have to do is fill them when you move out at the end of the year.

Are you sure??? Can someone confirm this?

I believe you can since my RA e-mailed us a reminder stating that if we had holes to get putty from the area office...so I'm assuming its allowed. I don't know how successful you will be drilling through concrete so I'd be careful...

I definitely know that's the rule on east campus. Hume is a newer dorm, so they might have different rules. You can also get paint from the front desk if you need it.

Picture Hangers

Try "Command Picture Hanging Strips".

It looks like it will work too:

Q: Will Command adhesive stick to brick?
A: No. Command adhesive is intended for mostly smooth surfaces such as those listed above. However, Command adhesive will stick to painted, smooth cinder block (the type found inside many school buildings).

Awesome! Where can I find these? Wal-mart, Home Depot?
