I used to consider myself a hardcore gamer, I would play mainly FPS shooters for 10 hours straight, head to a local lan party, and drink LOTS of energy drinks. The best was Bawls. Gaming mainly counterstrike was the only game I was actually impressive at. I would play daily until my parents became so furious to ban me from even touching the computer. I really enjoyed the complete ambiance of lan parties and the fact of just enjoying each others company. heh.

anyone else have a personal confession about their past? Or maybe even the present?

Lmfao. Such a confession it is...
.
I'm still a (semi) hardcore gamer, I guess.

Definitely: I used to be addicted to WoW. god, you play that like 15+ hours straight (not that I ever did this, most I played straight was 8~10ish), it's a killer.

Two more confessions: I still play tetris and pacman occasionally, and I freaking pwn at BOTH

I...don't game. I'm a girl; I play the Sims 2 and force people to be eaten alive by flies or get hit by meteorites. And I'm not a good person; I've tried to be, but I'm just not cut out for it. And I wish I'd been born a man.

karajanhra what do you mean by saying "I...don't game. I'm a girl; I play the Sims 2 and force people to be eaten alive by flies or get hit by meteorites. And I'm not a good person; I've tried to be, but I'm just not cut out for it. And I wish I'd been born a man."

Are you implying men are not good people? Why do you wish you were a man?

I used to be a hardcore gamer. I started off by being a victim of RuneScape. Now I have an idling account that I log in once in a while but it's really no fun.

I did 24 hour FPS marathons for Counter Strike and Battlefield 2, but those days are long gone.

^To collegehopeful: The OP said to give some confessions (although I seem to be the only one who took that as non-gaming-related confessions), so I did. That is all.

I was never really "hardcore" on the subject of video games for a lengthy amount of time. However, with the Metal Gear Solid games, I did not hesitate to play 6+ hours a day. Other than that, I don't really play addictive online games, and, actually, I've pretty much stopped playing games altogether. I've been trying to find something else to do, but there isn't much available.

I used to love gaming.. I played Halo, runescape(don't ask =\,) Age of Empires... i even stayed up till 1am in middle school for rs.. but now, all those games seem boring and a waste of time to me now.

I enjoy video and computer games, but I'm far from hardcore. I'm lucky if I play for an hour a week.
The only game I'm mildly addicted to is Maple Story.
