Harder to gain acceptance as an international?

I heard from some people in the US that gaining acceptance into Berkeley, Stanford and similar schools is easier for international students. I have always thought the opposite - that international competition is brutal and actually more difficult than admissions for people applying domestically. What is the general consensus?

it’s more difficult. It’s easier? where did you heard that?
UC schools like berkeley have their own intl pool, so it’s alot harder when you’re competing with other intl’s.
