Don't forget to clear a path to the toilet. The last thing you want to do is read and walk and trip over something then get knocked out cold and be taken to the hospital and wake up and have the doctor ask what you thought of ______ dying at the end.

I'm going to reread the first six books today or tomorrow. I wonder how many pages HP7 is.

782 in the US regular edition.

im happy with the length, although it could have been longer :/
I think the majority of the book, begining with the wedding, will be harry finding the horcruxes. Hopefully he will return to hogwarts to consult with dumbledore's portrait somewhere in there. Also i think it will end in Godric's hollow with a big battle between the OTTP and the DEaters.

I'm only going to reread the 6th one. Buuut... I'm probably not going to get to that until the 20th, because I just found this giant anthology of short fiction from my mom's college days. It has soooo many good short stories in there... Ahhh!

My predictions:
Snape - good
Voldy - dead
Harry - dead
Ron/Hermione - one will die... I'm guessing Ron
Harry will probably trip on a crayon and die. Then, Fiddy Cent will come and shoot Voldemort. I'm about 79.8% sure that this is how the book will end.

782? I would think that's not nearly enough.

I know. Maybe the font is small.

Wait, wait, it's 784. Muuch better.

Oh, 78*4*! I feel much better now.

I'm fairly sure Rowling has used a standard font in all of her books.

lol i was hoping for around a 1000...

Jeez, can't even let me have my dreams.

Same here! Didn't JK say that the last book was going to be around that length way back when?

Indeed. I was thinking more along the lines of 1300 - 1400 pages.

That would be heaven....!

Ican'twaitIcan'twaitIcan'twait.

Did JK definitely say that Harry's scar wasn't a Horcrux? Because that theory actually sounds pretty plausible...

Well, book 6 was like part one of the ending, so all together it should be around 1300 pages.

Hey, that's what Jo said.

NO HARRY HORCRUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~!!

Based on my observations of her writing style, it would seem to me that it would be nearly impossible to have both an individual storyline and concise explanations [meaning there is actually some action in the book, and there isn't magical person who appears and gives an 800 page long speech about the truth] for the events in the previous book within 800 pages.

Maybe you're wrong.

Oh SNAP.

The rest of the Horcruxes are somewhat ordinary, though (I mean, they don't really impact Harry personally). JK obviously kept the identity of the last horcrux a secret for a reason... I can't think of any object(/person?) that would be as shocking as Harry/Harry's scar. It would also explain Harry's emotional connection to Voldemort (he's housing part of his SOUL), and why his scar always hurts when near Voldemort/when Voldy is angry. It all ties together quite nicely.

There would need to be nearly no superfluous dialogue in the book, which eliminates much of the extra story lines.

Your theory is valid, LesOs.

784 isn't that small.
