chances of getting into Harvard by speaking 5 languages (Chinese, Russian, Arabic, French and German) and owning three companies
3.9 gpa
Haven’t taken sat yet bc I’m a freshman
Thanks!!
There is no way you own 3 companies gtfo
Yes I do
I’m one of the kid entrepreneurs
All of my companies are patented and ready to be stocked into big named stores
Please just give me insight
If u were once a freshman in high school you probably felt anxious and you wanted to know if you were good enough
I want to know if I’m good enough, if I actually have a chance
You don’t patent companies, so what are you actually talking about?
Why do you need three companies? Why can’t you aggregate the various activities you do under the umbrella of just one company? You pay for legal, accounting and other fees three times over by having three distinct companies.
I totally believe you. By the end of Freshman year, I won two Vex robotics World Championships and put an experiment to the International Space Station.
you may or may not. It is impossible to know at this point. You have more years to go and if you want to get into Harvard, you are going to need to fight until the bitter end and then keep fighting.
Here are some words of wisdom from a stressed out senior who is applying to many top tier schools:
I have put an experiment on the International Space Station, Won three Vex Robotics World Championships, Presented at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museam, sat on a grant allocation committee, have an ACT of 32, an SAT of 2150, and take a full IB workload with four HL classes.
… And I doubt I will get into Harvard. There is no secret, no way to know until April 1 when decisions are released.
Did I do all that to get into Harvard? No. I never tried to build a resume. Do what you love and love what you do and your resume will build itself. Devote every ounce of effort into all you do not because it will help you get into Harvard but because it is what you truly want to do. I have seen obsessing over college completely unhinge many once close friends.
But, If your heart is truly set in stone and you want to get into Harvard and obsess about it for the next four years, the best advice I can give you is my personal motto aka the secret to my success.
“When the odds are one in a million, focus not on the nine hundred ninety nine chances of failure. Focus on what it takes to be the one success. Odds do not matter. Hard work, dedication and passion matter. Work to the point of tears, cross every t, dot every i and attend to each minute detail, and with a little luck, anything is possible.”
I hope that helps you. But seriously kid, college apps = stress. Find something else to occupy your time. Write a book, learn another language (try learning a fake language like Tolkien Elvish. It is fascinating how he artificially constructed an entire language). Experience High school in the fullest, because odds are by senior year, you will not want it to end.
What do you mean by having “three companies” if any of these companies are decent then id say you hAve a strong hook for harvard. But even then more details need to be given about said companies.
We don’t even know anything about these “companies.” We don’t even know if OP is legitimate. I also couldn’t understand what “patented companies” means.
Don’t know about you, but when I was a freshman, I took classes, hung out with friends, participated in math contests, did some fun activities, played sports, and other things. I didn’t even think about the SAT until sometime junior year.
