When is it too late to schedule an interview if you're applying for EA? Could I call them on Monday (Oct. 31) and do it then turn it in on Tuesday (Nov 1)? By the way, app's are due Nov 1 for EA.

A local Harvard representative will contact you for an interview as soon as your application goes through. The report doesn't need to be rushed in, as it isn't the most important part of the application anyway. I got a call about two weeks after the deadline, and some interviewers might use e-mail.

As long as you are in the US in a place close to some willing alum, one will contact you by about the first week of Dec. When Harvard sends you follow-up info after getting your app, they'll tell you the date by which you should have heard from an alum. If you don't hear from an alum by that date, contact Harvard.

When you are contacted by an alum depends on when you got your application in and how busy the alums are in your area who help with admissions. The contact date is no reflection of the quality of your application. Harvard tries to interview all US applicants regardless of the quality of their applications. Students don't get interviewed if there are no willing alums within a reasonable distance of where they live.
