I received an Interview call on 19th Feb from an admissions officer and had the interview on Feb 21st. There is one thing I am certain of and it is that not everybody receives an interview call. I have a few friends in metros who have not been interviewed despite Alumni base in their cities. @Ambitious27 What is your intended major?

Am an international applicant( From Kenya), and I applied Early to Harvard but was Defered…
Harvard later gave me an interview. Does it really mean anything bearing in mind that I was not given an interview prior to being Defered?
One more thing, do all prospective admits get contacted before decisions day to be informed about their forthcoming acceptances.?
Two kids from my region have been contacted and told that they’ve been accepted. Does that mean that am out already, because I wasn’t among the two who were contacted?
@KT1998 Econ and Psych. Had a 2nd interview (this time with an alumus) on 17th of March. He concurred with what you say, and stated that receiving an interview was a good sign in terms of being one of the applicants seriously considered for admission. Apparently, they still do weed out candidates, unlike the popular opinion on CC that an international interview basically guarantees admission. What is your intended major?
@Ambitious27 Computer Science or Math or Electrical Engineering. Woah! You had a second interview? It probably means you are totally getting in. Of course not every interviewed applicant is guaranteed admission, its just a positive sign (very positive in your case). We’ll know soon anyway! Fingers crossed for 31st.
@KT1998 Or that they were on the fence about me! We can only get to know on the 31st. The wait is killing me. Congratulations on Princeton though! Also, how much can I bomb my boards and not get my admissions rescinded? (Vis a vis a predicted of 95+) Best of luck for Harvard!
@Ambitious27 Thank you so much. Honestly I lost all motivation to study after my EA decision. I am guessing(+hoping) that anything over 90 in each subject should suffice. By the way is your school CBSE?
