Harvard, Penn, and Cornell

(minus Harvard - just wanted to get attention ;D )

I'm a rising freshman at a New York business school and I really want to get out of the area because I don't like the atmosphere and I don't like the kids. I only applied to 5 highly selective schools as a high school senior because I figured if I didn't get into those top schools I'd want to go to my school anyway. I was wrong. Kids here are unambitious and don't care about academics - all they do is party Friday nights and it's really annoying.

Well here are my high school stats:
Rank of 8/291
SAT 2250 (800M, 750W, 700R)
5 APs with all 5s
Full IB diploma (not tremendously good scores)

Hopefully I'll get a 4.0 GPA (it's not very difficult). I'm running a small internet-based startup company centered on my school, and hopefully another business as a part of a college social entrepreneurship program. I'm also in the investors' association and finance club, joining competitions and such. I'll be interning at a local UBS PWM office this winter and also taking a class - hopefully that'll work out. And I'm overloading both semesters my freshman year. I'm also a member of the orchestra and swim club. I've got no club leadership positions (those are very limited for freshmen) and people started the clubs I wanted to start before I got the chance :(

What are the chances of me transferring into top-notch b-schools (Wharton, NYU, Cornell, etc.) and what do I have to do to maximize them?

Wharton is a Crap shoot but you’ve got a solid opportunity to get in most other places.

Do you go to Baruch College?

In at NYU and good chances at Cornell. Don’t get your hopes up for Wharton, but there’s still a chance.

haha no i’m not at Baruch. And what on earth does it take to get into Wharton?
