Anybody here receive a likely letter from Harvard ?
@BanggaDad I dont think they’ve gone out yet.
They have and may continue to trickle out but it’s anybody’s guess.
@nondescript1 did
Hi @TheWaffleMan149 are you saying that you received one ? May I know what it says and when you received it ?
No, I wish. @nondescript1 received one.
Hi! In regards to interviews, I just had my interview last week and it went well! the person who interviewed me shed some interesting insight. For example, apparently each interviewer can decide how many people he/she would like to interview in an area. The person who did me said they usually interview 3-4 per year while other interviewers they knew interviewed like close to 10. But they do try to interview everyone if that’s possible!
Thanks for sharing the insight @BlackHuntress . Because the interview process depends on the alumni association in the area and not dependent on the Harvard Admission Committee itself, it is generally offered based on availability due to the work schedule of these alumni interviewers indeed
I know of one and I have over 1900 posts! I also personally know of some Stanford LL’s as well as at least one from Penn, Brown, and Columbia. No reason for me to make things up because I am a parent with nothing to gain.
So Penn has sent the elusive LLs out!
I supposed all of them have.
@falcon1 you know of a Regular Decision non-recruited athlete this year who has received a likely letter from Harvard? I believe you -I just didn’t realize you had previously posted that information
I don’t know if Princeton actually sends them out for RD. I have yet to ever hear of one but I guess they must if they come across an athlete they want to recruit.
@rahuilmars231 Good luck! I’ve heard of ivies requesting interviews a few days before the decisions are released, so you could still be offered one. And yes I have
@rahuilmars231 I’m from rural Canada btw!
@kuriosmind nice I’m from rural India. how did the interview go?
Btw are interviews in Canada just as selective as they are in countries like India or are they relatively more inclusive?
Did anyone else just receive a financial aid email from Harvard?
Hey guys, I’ve lurking on this thread for a while. Im also from Canada and @rahuilmars231 the interviews seem to be inclusive everyone at my school who applied to Harvard got one. Also just curious does getting a FAFSA reminder mean anything or does everyone get one? I just got one and I guess i’m clinging on to all the shreds of hope I can find. Thanks!
@EarlyAction2020 I did. I’m pretty sure everyone did.
Harvard has made “expanding access” a major admissions focus in the last couple of years, with all their admissions marketing aimed at letting people know how affordable it is. This email is in line with that effort.
Note that the email specifically says:
“the financial aid and admissions processes are separate, financial aid documents will not show up on your Admissions Portal and we are not able to track financial aid materials until after admissions decisions have been made.”
