I received the same email and was wondering the same thing. @Ballerina11
Yeah, I got it. You guys need to calm down about the decisions. Just enjoy your 2nd semester senior year.
Guys you gotta submit that before March 1st. Hurry up!
Btw, all of you are U.S. Citizens right? FAFSA isn’t normally required from non US citizens.
I didn’t receive an email about FAFSA reminders! I don’t even know what that is?
Generally for international students, they would require IDOC on College Board or CSS profile not FAFSA
I’m a US Citizen living in Canada which is why I did the FAFSA. If you’re not a US citizen you don’t need to do it
@rahuilmars231 Everyone I know that applied received an invitation to interview, not all of them scheduled one though. I think there’s quiet a number of Harvard alums in Canada. I’ve also heard that interviews is a way for alumni to stay connected to the school because they get to have a (small) role in deciding which students are admitted through their interview reports. In some places, there is truly a limited number of alums, so not receiving an interview really isn’t something to worry about.
@Ballerina11 Hey fellow Canadian!
@hola1997 They haven’t asked me for those either? I didn’t apply for financial aid, could it be that you only need to submit it if you applied for aid? I hope they’re not missing important documents from me :-??
Yeah, it’s only for financial aid application and also Harvard will notify and not penalize you if you are missing documents for financial aid. They will give you time for that.
I got that email as well. I did not even apply for FA
Probably just providing opportunities for on campus work or loans in case something happens. It never hurts to fill that out
I didn’t get the email nor did I apply for financial aid.
Weird that some people got it and others didn’t. Doubt it means anything though. Like someone earlier pointed out, the email specifically states that the two are separate processes
I got it! And yeah I agree, it doesn’t mean anything
Anyone know if legacy has any effect at all if you apply RD?
@VaishS When were you informed about it? I was informed on Jan 22 that I would soon receive contact info of my interviewer but not got yet.
I applied for financial aid and did not get an email…
@T26E4 Hello sir, does Yale conduct International Interviews (in India)?
just be sure to apply for all aid if it is needed. My fafsa was complete and I still received the email. As it says disregard if it’s already done.
@sheroman2020 Don’t be concerned about it. It is statistically impossible that so many people in this thread got into Harvard. That tells you how relevant the email is.
