Hey all there's an introduction thread for SSP on the Harvard College forum.

any body going for math

Hey purest awesome can you paste in a link. I couldn't seem to find it. I haven't heard of any other financal programs

<straus b="" wave="" to="" neehar=""></straus>

and questionboy... don't think about it as losing a summer... you will love it.

about scholarships you could probably google for some. i know a few that will provide money for non-college programs but you need to make sure they specifically say that. My friend thought she had gotten money for a summer program but they refused to give it to her since it wadn't college. i think the lyons(lions, sp?) club does stuff, they gave me a pretty check for an art contest. Plus, if you want to you can write to companies asking them isfthey have programs or if they'll sponsor you directly. Target is really generous and wal-mart and McDonalds might offer something. good luck, hope this was helpful...

oh and im the one who started the introduction thread. its " getting to know harvard ssp" lol lame name but fun stuff

if i "accept" my admission, i'm not required to go am i?

oh yea, how long does it take to hear back about your financial aid? anyone have any experience with that?

im excited only 2 months

haha <strausb wave="" to="" david=""></strausb>

and yeah, def not a wasted summer, you will look back on it and wonder why you couldn't have done that for more than just a summer...it's gonna make your senior year of high school somewhat torturous, since you've already gotten a small tase of "college", and trust me, there's nothing better

how do we find out what books we need for class?

and is it included in the fee paid or not?

it is NOT included in the fee more often than not, b/c you have to purchase them yourself. If you procure a syllabus online, it'll give you a list of texts you'll need. Some of the courses have this. Else, you get it when yuo arrive @ Harvard, and you immediately go to the Coop (bookstore) and get what you need. I didn't buy any books because my ECON class posted the books (10 in all) online, and I borrowed them from the Notre Dame library (my dad works @ the university), and then I borrowed the literature I needed for my English course from Harvard's library for the time I was there. It was a much cheaper route than paying for 20+ books, 10 of which were really textbooks. Hope that helps

i don think the sallybuses are online for the ssp courses

give it time...look through...i had to hunt to find my ECON course's...and not all of them come up, nor are they necessarily already up

hey all ... i got into the stanford summer college and harvard ssp. while i'm leaning towards harvard ssp, i still cannot make up my mind, not because i don't like stanford, but because i live in san francisco. i would love to get away this summer rather than travel 30 minutes south. the only difference between harvard ssp and stanford is the credits. stanford will let you earn up to 12 units, but are not transferable onto your high school transcript, while harvard's most likely will. also, stanford's kinda surround by nothing and i sure don't wanna go to san francisco to "explore". stanford also has a strict curfew. any opinions?

how large was your eco group

when do i get a harvard pin to login the library and tech shop

id go for harvard cauz it has more acivities or atleast i think so

or mayb im being biased towards harvard
