When you do get your decisions, please post them on this thread v.2.0

Blah. So, I had a dream last night that I got waitlisted, but if I do get waitlisted I'll have to turn it down, because I don't have the grades to get off the waitlist, so it was bittersweet. I was really pretty bummed out in the dream, and woke up this morning with that feeling, but wasn't sure why . . . now it sinks in, and I know that's the most I could hope for. Anyone else thinking about it 24/7?

HEY This is Brian, I started this thread and if you read v.2.0 you'll see that I have very good reasons for wanting everyone to keep their information and decisions on this thread. Solidarity!!

freakish, i know what you mean... i think ill go to columbia.... not sure though

brian: i know what you mean. the distraction of decisions this semester really made it hard for me to focus on exams...i don't know what my grades will look like when all is said and done, all i know is that--if i am waitlisted--they can only work against me...oh man, i wish i had been more motivated this semester...but what can we do now?

what kind of grades cud get one off the waitlist- a couple of As and A minuses, As and no A minuses, doesn't really matter?...thots?

i think all that really matters is that theyre consistent with or higher than the grades that got you onto the waitlist in the first place...

do we still think that emails are going out tomorrow?

Either way, like two or three people at most -- if any at all -- get taken off the waitlist.

oh wow i didn't realize it was such a small number

I'll actually rather they didn't have a waitlist-waiting on the waitlist is the most excrutiatingly painful experience ever- at least if u r rejected u can cry, be miserable and get it over with- waitlists just give u unfounded hope in a near impossibility~

Yes, Harvard's yield is nearly perfect for transfers. I think two years ago it was 100%.

I still think that it will be tomorrow. Though if they do not send out some sort of notification by the end of the day, I might get sort of skeptical.

...which is surprising considering they are practically the last school to disclose decisions...and considering they don't let anyone know their decision early..but then again. we're talking about harvard. this isn't surprising at all

bad news- 'k maybe not so bad since they keep contradicting themselves- just called harvard a second ago and they said we shud expect decisions whithin one week- I seriously hope they were referring to snail mail-

they're certainly taking their sweet time this year--it's almost been five months.

we should have seen this coming, bumpity, as they encouraged you to keep sending them more stuff just as of a few days ago.

I know- wonder what's taking them so long tho-this year must be particularly tough- what with the plethora of interviews and inquisitive e-mails-

hehe- I tried to pull a fast one on them by calling their f-aid office and asking them to check my file to see if it was complete-(I figured if I got in they might just in an excited rush tell me they had already awarded me sth)

seems like a lot of people do that already:

lady on the phone: At this point it will make no difference- i'll say you wait for your letter or call back after getting your decision by e-mail-

why I can't wait for one more day, I completely cannot understand-

Hey Guys, I'm a new user, but I'm a Harvard transfer app. too...stats:

incoming junior, SAT sections above 700, 3.98 college GPA, 3.97 HS GPA, etc., interview granted in April

anyways, like Bumpity, I also called Harvard College today and they said decisions within a week...gosh, I hope I make til then&I hope I make it in...good luck to all of you!

Oh yeah, and I applied to Penn, too, and still waiting on them as well:::crosses fingers:::

o gosh tyger- thanks for further driving down our chances down-incredible stats!
Just jealous- Gud luck! did ur interviewer tell u anything specific about the significance of interviews this year? do they matter?

lol, Bumpity...interviewer was pretty nice and graduated very recently, significance of interviews...didnt have the gall to ask :)...he didn't volunteer any info. either, but it was an enjoyable experience overall

tyger: where were you at college for your freshman and sophomore years?
