harvard.

Congrats, it's well-earned.
nattibee, you had an interview, right?

The woman I spoke to made it seem like decisions aren't emailed b/c there have been security issues in the past. But who knows...

Yes, I had an interview. I was soooo nervous going in there, but it turned out to be great, my interviewer was absolutely awesome. She was this hilarious Queen Latifa clone who owned 10 cats all named after famous psychologists. :D

wow nice interview,

went i applied to harvard as a freshmen, i was still in hs, the guy took a look at my act scored and told me why did i even apply; that i should go to uno or lsu.

i shortly withdrew my apps after that.

haha, nattiebee, that sounds great. Mine was wonderful too, but not nearly as quirky (though I really enjoyed the interview)

I just called and asked about the emails and she said "by the 23rd"

arrrgh!! (sorry, I had to get that out)

-Annie

Congrats Nattiebee!

I just called, too. The lady said by the 23rd -- and that all of them are going to be e-mailed on the same day.

wait, does that mean they will be sent out on the 23rd or that we will all know by then at the latest?

I just got asked for financial aid forms . . . we hadn't sent all of them (I didn't want to trouble my parents, seeing as I didn't expect much).

Is this a good sign?

might be for transfer, but i got asked as a freshman and rejected.

for those who got into harvard.

1337 3killz = ma33iv3 r33p3ct

Can core courses -- specifically quantitative reasoning, science a, and/or science b -- be taken or transferred from other universities?

I ask this keeping in mind that the syllabi are exactly the same as the core courses at harvard. and as a side not, does anyone know if the core system is staying pretty much the same at harvard in the next few years, or at least for current/incoming students. Thanks much.

I thought I read somewhere in the transfer application that Harvard will work with you to make the core about 25% of your coursework, whatever that means.

I'm going to be studying abroad in China when the decision comes (by mail because I stupidly put that I didn't want to learn of it by email). Anyway, I bet I didn't get in because I didn't get an interview. It doesn't matter -- I'm going to Brown! But I'll have to ask my parents to email me the decision, which is not a very fun way to find out.

An interview is not a necessary condition to being admitted.

Another day, another empty inbox

this is almost unbearable now!

for those who called the office, they said we would all know by the 23rd at the latest right?

my fingers are crossed for everyone!

Do you think I could call up the admission office because I'm going to China on Monday and I have to send in my acceptance of Brown's admission offer in two weeks?

i think that's definitely legit copper.

Hey everyone. I called today around 1 PM (eastern) and was told decisions would be sent out toward the end of the week, by email if requested. To me this means Thursday or Friday, and based on what you've all reported, I'm going to consider the 23rd the outer limit. Congratulations to those admitted, and good luck to all. Remember, if it doesn't work out (and despite our presence here, it is still extremely unlikely) it is not the end of the world. Personally I will take rejection as encouragement to redouble my efforts here and make college exactly what I want it to be.

Again, good luck.

This message should be amplified throughout the corners of this board.

I agree. Either Thursday or Friday. We should have decisions by the 20th.

I just called up explaining my situation and the woman acted with a bad attitude. I asked if I could know my decision because I was going to China and I had to send in my thing for Brown and she just cut me off and didn't let me speak. I'm very annoyed by what just happened.
