@waterpololover What do your days look like at Mudd? What were your other options when finding/choosing a college? Are you happy you chose Mudd?
And for anyone else out there, how does Mudd engineering compare to UC engineering? I like that it’s less specialized, but is there still enough depth for jobs/grad school?

ABSOLUTELY OVERJOYED I tackled my counselor when I found out. HMC is my dream. Wow. Now biting my nails while I wait for my financial aid award.
I think my essays showed I was a great fit and I know the school well. Fit is very important to HMC. Sucks that they admit so few students and aim for diversity which means that if you have a similar app to just a few other students in the pool it’s a toss up whether you’ll get in. That was my main concern but I got lucky Message me if you’re going to admit weekend!
Congratulations to those who were accepted! For any parents, please join us on the Harvey Mudd College Admitted Families group on Facebook. We look forward to meeting you!
Rejected Congrats to all of you who got in!! HMC is a great school!

@Auracle and anyone else wondering about a typical day…
As a freshman, here’s my typical day:
7:30 AM: Wake up
8 AM to 11 AM or 12 PM: class (either 2 or 4 classes depending on the day)
Lunch: I usually eat lunch in the Hoch (Mudd’s dining hall) or at Scripps or CMC with off campus friends. Mudd also brings in a lot of speakers who will give a lunch talk, and I try to go to at least one a week!
Afternoons: Once a week I have lab, twice a week I have my elective. I work a few shifts some afternoons. I also go to office hours in the afternoon or I’ll work on problem sets
Late afternoon: practice!
Dinner: dinner with my team
Evenings: usually homework and hanging out with friends. There’s also tutoring for all Core classes in the evenings, so if I need help, I’ll go to that
11:30 - 12: in bed!
