I saw on an acceptance letter something like "your acceptance to ... is conditional upon the satisfactory completion of his/her current school year". Does everyone have that, or is it only a few people? So if your grades slip during the rest of the year, say 70s or 80s, or Bs or B-, would they reject you afterwards? Has that happened to anyone? Please help!!! Thank you soooo much!!

not usually

I was wondering the same thing! I would think a B or a C wouldn’t be a big deal, though…

okay, ive been accepted to a couple of schools with what u would call “gasp” unacceptable grades

freshmen year- straight b’s with 2 c’s (keep in mind i had some family issues AND attended a top school)
soph- year- straight a’s except c in spanish

dont worry… let ur ssat score balance out ur gradesl.

OH sorry misread title…

i dont think so. I have a friend at exeter who had straight a’s tehn got like 3 b’s and he aws fine

I’m worried also. I’m getting all A’s except for my history class. I think I have C right now

This is standard…having A’s and then getting B’s or even one C won’t be likely to cause your acceptance to be rescinded…but don’t get all C’s, D’s and F’s this term, or I doubt you will be attending boarding school in the fall.

I really depends on the school… top school? they’ll expect u to get at least GPA of 3.0

Thanks!!! It’s just that since I got back, some of my teachers weren’t all that happy with how I’ve been doing lately, so I was just wandering if that might affect me at all… and thanks everyone for your help!!!

Yeah, i thought I was home free after I sent my grades in to the school (not that i slipped up or anything). Now i am even more nervous about things like year end finals because it could potentially hurt my chances of going to boarding school. How bad do you have to be to have your admission revoked?

As long as your remain in good academic standing, you should be fine. :)
