Has anyone been accepted to CSULB for Fall 2012 yet?

My major is not impacted either. I’m majoring in health care admin and from NorCal… I finished all my GEs when I attended SF State. Well I am just going to wait. Especially since my transcripts are due March 23rd (hopefully they receive it by then). So it will take them probably mid to end of April to finish reviewing and possibly make a decision by then. Good luck to everyone else!!!

Oh ok. Well the good news is…I called both Fullerton and Long Beach, and they both confirmed that as long as the documents were sent on time, then it’s not an issue as far as the due date goes.

ugh still havent gotten in

just checked my status, It says “Your application is currently complete and ready for review. Due to the competitive nature of our admission process, admission decisions will be sent out no later than May 1. We will notify you by email of the decision or if we should need any additional documents so be sure to check your email regularly for messages from CSULB and be sure to respond as soon as possible but no later than the deadline given.”

how long does it take from them to process? since they just scanned all my transcripts like four days before the Mar,9th deadline, does it mean I have to wait longer to hear from them?

impacted major, gpa 3.5, service area,

waiting…

So does the GPA on your initial application matter or does the GPA from the transcript you are sending in matter?

Because I got into the second round of selection with a 3.06 GPA on my application but my transcript GPA is 3.4 transferable credits…Did i make a mistake by not putting a higher GPA on my application?

Major is Business Econ.

If the higher GPA is because of Fall grades then there’s no way you could have put it on the application. And I’m fairly sure (but not positive) that they recalculate and assess your GPA based on all the transcripts you send them (which would include Fall grades). I could be wrong about that though.

Is being in the final review pretty much mean you’re in??? Or is it a MAYBE?

It’s just a maybe. The first review is only to see that you’ve satisfied all of your requirements or are on track to finish them. You also have to have a minimum GPA/test score combo to make it into the second round for freshman.

They also seem to be really behind on everything so keep your chins up!
I got accepted over 3 weeks ago and just got an email last night notifying me. Make sure you are doing the applicant self check every day!

I am still waiting for a admissions decision :frowning:
It sucks because the other colleges that accepted are demanding for me to apply for housing before a specific date. Blah! Just my luck!
Is anybody else still waiting for CSULB admissions as a first time freshmen?

@Rocky Im in the exact same situation! I got accepted to Fullerton dnd CPP a while ago and now fullerton is demanding for housing applications by march 22nd otherwise we get waitlisted. Thanks Long Beach!

jaythe65: I just got that email today too from Fullerton! II hope they don’t wait until the last minute to tell me if I was accepted or not. I’ll be crazy mad if I don’t get accepted into Long Beach and miss my deadlines for the other colleges I applied for and were accepted by at a earlier time. Ugh! This is horrible!

im going completely crazy, everyone from my school has been getting denied, and i only know about one person who has gotten accepted, i have yet to be informed of anything tho!

omgitsjosie: Do you know the average g.p.a for those who have been getting denied? I have three friends who were denied already and one who was already accepted in early February but I don’t think she seriously plans to go.
I am still waiting for my admissions decision too and it’s freaking me out because I was just denied to SDSU yesterday but I was already accepted into three others…
CSULB is my first choice!!!
What are your statistics? (If you don’t mind me asking :o)

rockyhorror: i got denied to sdsu too, and well the average GPA for those who have been getting denied is from about a 3.0-3.5. i have a 3.63 mmm for the SAT i have a 1590, and well ive passed both the ELM and the EPT. and omg CSULB is my first choice too, so far ive gotten accepted to UC Merced and CSUF.

Has anyone heard of transfers getting into impacted majors yet? I applied for liberal studies.

For all the freshmen who’ve been accepted already, send up for the earliest placement tests if you don’t think you’ll be able to satisfy the English and math requirements by the other ways (SAT score, AP credit, B in English, C in math, etc.).

Sorry for those still waiting! Stay positive.

So do they take in to account classes that dont transfer from CC? Like Math 110?

aint that some cow shish…did anyone else get a request to send a syllabus for a particular portion of the golden four???

first such a long wait and now this…
thats ridiculous i go to a dam four year institute

seriously did anyone else an email requesting a syllabus ???

@Monorojo- Yup, that should meet the math requirement.

@Monorojo - Math 110 or its CC equivalent does not transfer? Are you required to take it at csulb?

@jorozco4 - that’s the first time i’ve heard anyone being asked for a syllabus.
