@rocky What’s your second choice out of the dorms? I still have yet to decide where I want to dorm and I think I am going to wait for my friend to decide if she is going to csulb or not haha.

I just received an email asking for transcripts today… For those who were on the same boat, hope you guys got it too!!

ktkodi: Either Residence or International would be my second choice after RLC. I’m not picky (I get what I can) but I wanted a nice living habitat. Hahhha I hope I get some good news from them soon! But were you planning to room with your friend if she does decide to go to CSULB???

@rocky yeah I know what you mean just somewhere nice. The traditional halls are probably going to be my last choice. Im planning on rooming with her if she does end up going which would be great! She’s waiting to hear back from UCLA.

Ktkodi: Yea exactly! The residential halls are my last choice too but at this point I am thinking that getting a dorm at all is lucky. Haha. I already know that everyone is going to apply for the best dorms first. Blah! Haha. This sucks! But that sounds very cool, it would be fun having someone you know as your roomate…
:)

I just got a email from them saying I got into the initial competitive admission and invited to be considered in the final round, but I worried if I don’t get Eng 1C this spring, idk what will happen…first time I got good news in three years (after high school disaster)

How do you submit your AP scores? (its been a long long time back in high school I took those) I don’t even know they have those in file anymore?

sigh///

@fredfrep are you applying as an Upper Division transfer? I don’t think they require high school transcripts if you are. As long as you have at least 60 cr. you’re good. I suggest making sure you get the Eng 1C as one of the Golden 4.

@fredfrep: im a transfer too. You have to call them up… 609-771-7300 I had to do the same!! But thy were closed so I have to wait until Monday to call them to send over my ap scores. I was invited for final round this Friday as well… Took them long enough!

Also if eng 1c is one of the golden 4 that you don’t complete, you will be denied… Make sure you get it!

Uh, I don’t think we need to send in AP scores unless asked for by them and Eng-1C isn’t part of the Golden 4. Well, that’s what I’ve been told and following.

@jorozco4 I have a 3.4 gpa uw, and I am majoring in Biochemistry

@rocky Ughh I think I’m leaning towards residential if I dont get my decision soon -_-

FINALLY. My application status no longer says they need my transcripts. It does still tell me that they have determined that additional items are needed, but there isn’t anything listed after that…weird. I’m going to call the admissions office later today thought just to be sure.

Does anyone know why some people receive notification to send in transcripts on 01/30/12 and others on 03/02/12? For those On 01/30, transcripts need to be received by 03/09/12, and 03/23/12 for those on 03/02/12? Those on the 2nd only have 20 days to have their transcripts received by CSULB while the January ones have 1.5 months! Does it mean the March people are going to be denied, but they need the transcripts anyway (and not look at it) just to be fair?? Any insights???

Btw the questions above are relating to transfers!

hey 4b1a5y: lets keep in mind they did receive like 75 thousand applications.
i submitted mine the first day they opened, i was denied to sfsu and accepted to sjsu already. I think they are just going down the stack, plus giving admission to transfer students is harder because they have to evaluate almost every individual class for every transfer student. That may be the reason for the delay so chin up:)

jorozco4: Yes, you’re probably right. It’s just I noticed they separated transfers between January and March… And I had to submit my transcripts in March, with only 2 weeks (basically from the 5th until 16th - 10 days - latest for them to receive by 23rd, including 1 week for USPS) to submit them while January transfers get a longer period! I’m just afraid they won’t receive my AP scores on time because my scores are currently in archive, and it takes 7-10 days after they receive my request form to even print and mail! And our time zones are different, so when I submit the form, they will receive it the next day…

I attended SFSU before. I really liked it there! But I hear SJSU’s campus is really nice. Most of my friends attended there Thanks for the positivity!

being positive is all we got right now… :/

and don’t worry as long as they are sent before the deadline you should be fine. I had two different transcripts from two different schools sent and they have only processed one and it has been more than three weeks.

I would like to know when they expect to have all decisions sent out?? Every time i call the person on the other line gives me some condescending indivisible answer.

My admission status emails say that all the decisions will be out by May 1st. Let’s hope it doesn’t take that long. :\ I’m going nuts. Does anyone know any liberal studies transfers that have been admitted yet? I hope not!

4b, maybe it has something to do with impacted vs. not? What’s your major?

I’m an in-state, out of area transfer with 60 units transferable…3.25GPA (I think…that was the latest one that got sent to LB) for Human Development (not impacted). I got asked for transcripts Jan. 31.

And the wait continues…I hope we get in, everyone!

tellmealready: my admission status was updated today as well it said the exact same thing u posted… i am getting frustrated only because i don’t want to miss other SIR deadlines…grrrrrr
