So I got my provisional admission, finally. I had a reason to think that there might have been a mistake with my transcripts so I got in contact with an admissions evaluator or something. My transcripts were fine but they had missed one of the supplemental requirements that I have in progress in this semester, which is why I hadn’t been admitted. It’s a really really good thing I’m super paranoid and relentless, because otherwise I would have been denied based on a mistake. Anyway, it’s all worked out now and I’m in as long as I pass all my classes this semester. :)

I’m a liberal studies transfer. GPA is 3.76 with my fall grades, I think.

I don’t know when I’ll be getting my email saying that I’m in. Did anyone get theirs way after their admission status said they were admitted? I can’t make a myCSULB account yet and I’m thinking I might have to wait for the email. Anyone know about this?

I feel that the longer we wait for CSULB’s decision the less of chance we have of getting in, I say this because last week SDSU sent out a bulk of their remaining decisions, which were pretty much all rejections.

My status says that Im in the final rounds and that my app is ready for review but that hasn’t changed for while now.

mariagoestocal: I totally agree with you! Why would they wait so long to accept/reject us? It’s so horrible!!! I’m scared, too, since CSULB is my first choice and I was recently denied to SDSU as a freshmen for the Fall of 2012 on Friday
Hopefully they send the emails out this week… (it better be good news) hahhha.
:)

tellmealready: I had to wait for 24 hours to make my account after I got admitted. I just got the email this past week and was admitted in early February.

Does anyone know how strict they are about the supplemental requirements for impacted majors? For Business transfer. I completed regular calculus 1 at my CC. Does anyone know if that will fill the Business Calc requirement.

I realized today you have to go to Menu->Student Center to see admission status. I was pretty happy today to see that I got accepted!

Mechanical Engineering BS
3.13 UW GPA, 3.45 W CSU GPA
1910 SAT
As and Bs in all math and science classes and currently taking AP Calculus and Honors Physics
Residing in Granada Hills, CA

Keef1193: They’re strict about the supplemental requirements for impacted majors. They are requirements, after all. Check assist.org to see what will fill them.

hey tellmealready: did you get an email with provisional admission or did you get denied and called them? I mean how did you know there was a mistake?

I had a different reason to believe there was a mistake because I sent my transcripts when I was in the middle of petitioning/adding classes. It was just a lucky coincidence that I talked to someone and ended up fixing it. I haven’t gotten any emails, I just kept checking my admission status online.

it says I am accepted for this fall. It sounds way too fast, I didn’t expect to hear from csulb this soon. But I check my status on line everyday though, just in case. I am glad I did.

tytony: Did they have you send in all your transcripts?

General question: Has anyone who’s a transfer and had to send in transcripts for the “competitive decision round” been accepted? Mine still says “Your application has been reviewed and placed in the competitive decision round.”

hi AncientGammoner: I have transcripts from four different colleges, I sent all to them. i checked on line and confirmed my transcripts being received and scanned on Mar 5th. (deadline is Mar 9th, I barely made it.)that’s why I was surprised with 10 days, they offered admission.
I hope you get yours soon.

I had the same exact transcript deadline too (March 9th) and got them all in as well. Sounds like they’re starting to send out decisions for those with that March transcript deadline, good to know.

@AncientGammoner I’m in the same boat. After processing my transcripts the status still says “Your application has been reviewed and placed in the competitive decision round.” I would like to think we should be hearing a decision soon. I just wish they would hurry up.

Congratulations to those who’ve already been admitted :)
