<p>I’m wondering if any of you (especially those who have gone on to attend NYU/Tisch) ever did the summer teen acting program at the Adler studio? Five weeks, it looks really good.</p>
<p>I did the 5 week program in the winter which is basically the same as the summer program, but less intense. It was amazing and I learned a lot. And I'm going to Tisch in the fall! I also did the summer 5 week program at Strasberg and loved that also</p>

<p>Hi, I'm new here, but i've read through a lot of this VERY helpful site, and finally found a question I wanted to ask,</p>
<p>regarding the summer program, does anyone know how admissions is decided generally? i don't think i remember seeing anything about an audition on tisch's website, so I'm guessing they rely on academic records and personal statements? Also, does anyone know how competitive it is?</p>
<p>Thanks for your help in advance. I'm currently a high school freshman/sophomore, so I've got a bit of time before college..haha. But I was looking at things I could do, and Tisch sounds very exciting and rewarding. (I'm also considering the Northwestern Cherubs program.)</p>
<p>I have a friend who did. She enjoyed it a lot and it was a good experience, but it didn't revolutionize her acting in the same way as when she attended Tisch.

..i was wondering , in the past few years, if the program accepted rising juniors[so current sophomores] ? I know they give preference to juniors but does anyone know any sophs. who were accepted and went?
also, do you apply to a certain studio, or do you submit all your info and then they place you somewhere based on what you've given? </p>

<p>for tisch, you submit your info which can include a studio preference if you have one, although it may not be honored, and then they place you based on you.</p>
