omg my app status changed to further review required
-____-
that’s bad news isn’t it

^It just means they want to see your mid-year grades; from my understanding, that happens to a lot of people

Ugh, I sympathize, ilikebananas. My midyear grades are not going to be stellar. ):

so does further review required mean borderline?

does annyone know how mcgill make offers for the IB diploma.

please chance me, my subjects are:

Higher Level (HL):

Standard Level (SL):

English A1 - 5

[Applicants from High Schools Outside Canada and the U.S.A.](http://www.mcgill.ca/applying/undergrad2011-12/overseas/)

The International Baccalaureate Diploma with grades of 5 or better on all Higher and Standard Level examinations is the minimum expected for most programs.

Admission is competitive and applicants who present the minimum requirements are not guaranteed admission.

Note: The Math Studies course is not acceptable for programs where math is a required prerequisite.

A maximum of 30 credits of advanced standing may be granted for the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

For McGill’s scholarship application, the deadline is January 21 midnight.
Does that mean I should submit it today, the 20th before it becomes the 21st?
Or can I submit it tomorrow, before it becomes the 22nd?

congrats to those who got in! My status says “Ready for Review”. I had my application done way back in early November… and I have no items outstanding, so do they not need a midyear?

My status also says ‘ready for review’. It also says under the application checklist that my midyear/second quarter grades have not yet been received and processed. Try looking under the application checklist if you don’t know if McGill needs your midyear grades.

I took a screenshot of my current minerva status. I only took out my name, address, phone, etc…

http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/3183/mcgillminerva.png

My status also says “ready for review” and I applied back in early October.
I’m hoping to get in - valedictorian, 33 ACT, bunch of APs. Hopefully I’ll hear on the 28th! (when decisions are officially released).

my status changed to: Further Review Required

and it says that it got my transcripts and reference, and it also says:

Mid yr/second quarter grades Not yet received/processed

Does this mean that my IB predicted grades werent gud enough, and they need to check my mid year (Mock exams that start on Feb 28-March 5) exam results to give me admission?

thanks

My status also changed to “Further Review Required.” I am really nervous about this.
It also says that they need my mid year/second quarter grades. I’m not worried about my midterm grades b/c I got straight A’s, but since “Further Review” is required, does that mean I am in trouble???

abcdyesabcd, same thing here. i got straight A’s in my 3 AP and 3 University Level classes and I’m wondering if they could possibly say no if that is all they need left for an admission decision. from my understanding, further review required means your test scores were good enough, but they just want to make sure you didn’t slack off this year (which is what they said at the open house when i talked to admissions).

so basically we just need to send in an updated transcript with this semester’s grades?

I’m an applicant from the US and I applied the end of October. It still says Ready for Review on my Minerva -_- Should I go and send my mid-year report?

35 on the ACT, ~98 weighted average

i just spoke with my uni counselor, she said that they want my grades for the first semester of the new year (this is the attainment grades on my end of term report)

the grades are:

Maths SL: 6
French SL: 6
English A1 SL: 5

Chemistry HL: 5
Economics HL: 7
History HL: 6

overall w/out bonus points is 35, so its the same as my predicted grades.

i checked in their site and they said that the minimum for managment bcom is 35 points.

so will i still be fine for admision even though they wany my term grades as well?

Alright, I will send them in ASAP. But, I’m still worried.

similarly to most of you, my status is “ready for review.” i submitted my october act scores, but they arent listed under the “test scores received” column. I tried contacting the admissions office, but i was told that due to the extreme volume of applicants they couldn’t tell me whether or not they received them. i was a little bummed because those were my highest scores. anyone else have a similar problem?/any suggestions?

It takes the office about 3 weeks to process everything so you shouldn’t be too worried.

Also- mine says further review required… My midterm grades get sent next week, when should I expect finding out?
