Has anyone had an acceptance or rejection yet?

Congrats!!

McGill processed my midyear grades today (feb 4). How much longer until i get word whether i am accepted or rejected?

Accepted! to the Bachelor of Science, biology, biomed, life sciences.
See you all at orientation!

My app still says ‘ready for review’. Been that way for two weeks now. :/

^ It’s been like that for me since October 26th =[

when you are admitted, do you get an email or do you just keep checking the website??

I don’t think they send emails

Yes they do.

I’m a student in BC and I got accepted last night (via e-mail).

congrats!!

@tb0: I have just realized that on the page where it shows ‘application term’, it says ‘app processed and under review’ at the top.
I had no idea cause I had been clicking ‘application term’ til now and been seeing ‘ready for review’ on the next page. Maybe that is what you have been doing too?

Anyhow I am glad that mine has been under review even though I don’t know for how long lol.

@IAmPos: Congratz! and how long did it take to get admitted?

Thank you! I applied in late October, but just self-reported my marks last weekend with a 97 average. So it only took them 6 days to accept me.

Is there any mcgill student coming from a french high school in this forum ?

I just got accepted tonight! Faculty of Arts!

My stats:
ACT: 30 (35 reading, 34 writing, 24 math (haha), 27 science)
GPA: UW 3.71 (not including mid-year)
Courseload: Rigorous. 11 AP classes total, with the majority of the rest of my classes being honors
US Resident

My application was done mid/late November. My status never switched from ‘Ready For Review’ to ‘Further Review Required’ but I sent my mid-years anyways because they were impressive and I figured I’d be asked for them eventually. My mid-years were received by them a week ago exactly.

So excited!

Mcgill is asking for my son’s predicted IB Scores (US high school) as well as Midyear grades. They won’t come out until March! This seems really dumb since his stats otherwise could not be better
(4.0 UW, 2400). Don’t know why they don’t go ahead and accept him.

im also doing the IB.

they asked for my midyear grades, but when i spoke to them, they said they wanted the ‘attainment’ grades for the first term.

for my school, at the end of each term, they give out attainment and effort grades for each subject. i also thought they wanted my mock exam results, but they dont.

Anyone know what “further review required” means?

sjc937: they just want to look at your application a little more, usually if you scroll down to the required materials they’ll ask for extra things such as midyear grades, etc.

congrats americanslang! your scores were about the same as mine and i applied to arts!! now im really anxious! they recieved my midyears last friday, so maybe it will be exactly one week for me!

accepted faculty of science and faculty of engineering
ACT 31 (36 math 34 science, bad reading/writing lol)
SAT IIs: 800 math lvl 2, 750 chem, 750 bio
APs: 5 on BC calc, chemistry, and computer science

GPA: taken the toughest schedule possible but my GPA is miserable. I never really gave a crap. **** sucking up to teachers
(top 40% or so, though school doesnt rank i’ve seen the profile).

THUS, work on your SATs and SATiis and your APs. If you do well in these I can’t see anyone getting rejected seeing as McGill is in debt.

I’m really excited!
